\n<\/div>\nThe Dinosaur and Kinetic Sand Sensory Bin is a great addition to the dinosaur activites<\/a> and sensory bins<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n A sensory bin is typically a plastic tub or container filled with carefully selected materials and objects to stimulate the senses of children in preschool.<\/p>\n Sensory bins might have rice, water beads, corn, beans, or other types filled with small items.<\/p>\n The dinosaur and kinetic sand sensory bin is a super simple sensory bin to put together for a dinosaur theme. You have the dinosaur skulls, kinetic sand and the bin.<\/p>\n It takes very little time to put the dinosaur sensory bin together. It is an easy one to set up and we have done it several times. Simple items can make fun sensory bins.<\/p>\n A fun idea to try is to cover almost all the dinosaur skulls and then let kids dig the skulls out of the sand. You can make it be like a dinosaur quarry where they are looking for the dinosaurs.<\/p>\n Then let them dig out all the dinosaur skulls. And some kids might be able to pick out the dinosaurs they know from the skulls.<\/p>\n Since the dinosaurs skulls are so real you can use them to make impressions in the sand. You pick one skull at a time and flatten an area. Then press the skull into the sand.<\/p>\n Lift up the skull and you will see the impression it made. You can have kids make the impressions for all the skulls or a few of them. And then have them rematch the dinosaur skull to the correct impression.<\/p>\n A fun idea for older kids is to use the dinosaur skulls to write in the sand. You can see how the skulls are all different and takes fingers a challenge to hold and write or draw at the same time.<\/p>\n You can see we did d for dinosaur below. You can write letters, numbers, or shapes in the sand. But try different skulls for the same letter and see how different it is.<\/p>\n And remember sensory bins are for play. And it you do nothing else but play in the dinosaur sensory bin that is prefect! Other stuff in bonus but this is a fun way to add a dinosaur sensory bin for almost any time of the yar.<\/p>\n You can also add in scoops and cups if that works for your kids. I say it depends on the sensory bin.<\/p>\n This dinosaur sensory bin is a great way to talk to kids about how dinosaur bones are found in rocks.
