These are great for younger kids just starting to learn the stories. I always get asked how I make the easy reader books. Here are the simple steps that I use to make the books. I use scissors and a stapler.<\/p>\n You start by lining up the pages and cutting down the middle of the book. You want to make sure you hold the pages steady while you cut.<\/p>\n You alternate the pages of the book. The odd pages are on the top and the even pages on the bottom. You have even and then odd until all the pages are sorted.<\/p>\n After you make sure all the pages of the book are lined up, staple the book on the left side. Then your easy reader book is ready to be used.<\/p>\n Now you are reading to use your Little Red Riding Hood Reader Book.<\/p>\n You are going to see a few ways that we have used the Little Red Riding Hood Easy reader book. And these are just ideas for learning centers or one on one learning. If you have someone who struggles then use a pencil grip<\/a> to help hold the pencil.<\/p>\n You can talk about the words in the book as well. Like who is the wolf? What is their part in the story?<\/p>\n You can have fun learning the words in the book as you go through each page. You can color the picture and then trace the words. Then read the simple sentence below. This helps kids learn handwriting and words from the story.<\/p>\n You can also work on the trace the words in the book. Then you can find the word in the sentences below. This gives you a word to trace and then find the same word.<\/p>\n You can see we have traced the word basket and then we have underlined the word basket. You can do this for each of the pages. You could do this after you have traced all the words in the book.<\/p>\n You can also work on the sight words in the book.
