The cardstock helps the cards hold up for repeated use.<\/p>\n We laminate the shape tracing cards. You can laminate and then cut or cut out the cards and then laminate. You can do which works best for the laminator<\/a> that you are using.<\/p>\n After you have the cards cut out you can store the cards on the ring. This keeps the shapes together. You can use all the cards on the ring<\/a> or put rings<\/a> together you want to use.<\/p>\n But after you are done you can always keep all the cards together.<\/p>\n You are going to see a few ways we have used the gingerbread shape tracing cards. And these ideas give you more than one way to use the cards.<\/p>\n You have set up a shape tracing center for kids. You might start with one shape cards at a time with younger kids. You can tell them a shape to trace of the four shapes on the page. or just have them trace all the shapes.<\/p>\n You can also not laminate the pages and put them in a sheet protector<\/a> and then trace the shapes. You can store the pages in a binder for kids to trace all the shapes or just do one shape page at a time.<\/p>\n There are kids who do better with learning in a hands-on activity. And you can use these shape tracing cards for playdough<\/a> mats as well.<\/p>\n Adding playdough do this shape tracing cards makes it hands-on for kids. You can see how simple it is to do.<\/p>\n You can talk about how any sides a shape has or if it is smooth lines and straight lines for each shape.<\/p>\n You can also have kids fill in the whole shape with playdough. It is different way to use playdough on the shapes. <\/p>\n You can also use small items to line the shapes. You can see how we used mini erasers<\/a> to line the shape. You can do this with any small item.
