<\/div>\nThe Tissue Paper Hearts Craft is a great addition to the Valentine Crafts<\/a> on the site.<\/p>\n Tissue paper crafts are loads of fun because you can use them as window displays, and it is fun for kids to make them.<\/p>\n We made a tissue paper heart craft using wax paper glue, tissue paper, and construction paper. A fun way to make a heart that looks like a stained glass heart for the windows.<\/p>\n We read the book Pete the Cat: Valentine’s Day Is Cool<\/a> with this heart craft. Kids will love reading about Valentines and then made the hearts after reading the book.<\/p>\n We have included links to some of the products and resources we have used with this activity. If you purchase via the links we may earn a small commission<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Here is how we made the Wax hearts for the crafts.<\/p>\n We used the Heart fine motor mat<\/a> as the template for the heart. We used it also for measuring how much wax paper to cut out for each heart.<\/p>\n We cut out the heart from the Fine motor mats. We then placed the heart on the wax paper. If you are doing just one heart you can place in the center. <\/p>\n If you want to get two hearts on each paper, put the heart on the side of the paper. Then you flip the heart shape and trace to get the second heart.<\/p>\n Finally you are going to cut out the heart. You can see the template and the wax hearts that we cut out.<\/p>\n You can see all the steps that we use to make the Tissue paper Hearts.<\/p>\n You are going to stat off by putting glue on the wax paper. You want to cover the heart but you don’t want to cover the whole heart with glue. <\/p>\n You can use less glue with the tissue paper. But don’t get upset if kids put more glue the heart.<\/p>\n Next kids will put the tissue paper on the glue. They can use all three colors: red, purple and pink. But if they only use one color that is okay. <\/p>\n They are going to get some glue on their hands. So you can keep a paper towel that is wet to wipe fingers and get the glue off.<\/p>\n You can see how a heart is has the glue covered and the whole heart is covered with the three colors.<\/p>\n You are going to outline the edge of the heart with glue. This is where were are going to place the black construction paper on the heart.<\/p>\n You can see we are placing the black construction paper on the edge of the heart and on the glue we just put down. This adds a fun final part to the craft.
