We read the book Are You Ready to Play Outside? (An Elephant and Piggie Book) by Mo Willems. The girls loved the book. We read and acted out many parts: running, jumping and skipping. Then we talked about playing in the rain, but it was a wonderful day outside so we talked about painting our own rain instead.

What you need: paper, 2 types of blue paint, paint holder and comb.

The girls took the pencils using the eraser side and dotted paint on the paper. Amelia and Mary took both pencils and went after doing their projects. Rose was very careful and did one pencil print at a time.

After they got the paint on the paper, the girls took a comb and brushed up the paper to make the rain drops.

Then we hung up our papers so it looked like rain on the wall.
