This Community Helpers Pack is one that has been on my list of packs I have really wanted to do. I have thought about it for months. I love that now I get the chance to put one out. I believe that learning about the jobs and people in the community helps our kids learn more about those people around them.
These activities are great for kids ages 2 to 10. There is a lot of writing and learning who the people are in this pack. There are three books we will be using with this pack. Not all the jobs in the books are used but I like these best: Whose Vehicle Is This?: A Look at Vehicles Workers Drive – Fast, Loud, and Bright , Whose Tools Are These?: A Look at Tools Workers Use – Big, Sharp, and Smooth and Whose Hat Is This?: A Look at Hats Workers Wear – Hard, Tall, and Shiny.
This pack has the following community helpers: baker, construction worker, crossing guard, dentist, doctor, farmer, fireman, garbage collector, hair stylist, librarian, nurse, police officer, postal worker, soldier, teachers, and vet. Most of the pages in the page and activities for all the community helpers.
