Ocean Dot the Number Count the Number: Shark, Fish, & Jellyfish

Dot markers have to be one of my favorite printables and I love that you can use them all year long by changing up the theme. And the dot the number and count are our favorites.

Today I have a new number dot marker and count pages for shark, fish, and jellyfish.

You can dot the number and count the dots and work on fine motor at the same time.

These are a great addition to any ocean theme.

These ocean printables come in two types. They come in color and black and white. They work on numbers from 0 to 20. They are a great way to work on counting and learning numbers. Plus they are great for fine motor.

These were made to be used with dot markers or bingo daubers.

You can see the dot marker number and the picture in color. It also has the number in the corner with how you would write the number. These are great to make for a reusable math center.

The black and white is similar to the color but has a place for the name and is black and white.

Things to use with the ocean Dot the Number & Count Printables

These are links to a lot of items we use with this printable. I always get asked which items we use and this makes it easier for you to see them.

Ways to use the Ocean themed Dot the Number & Count the Number

I always get asked how to use this printable. So I’m going to show you a few ways you could use them.

The most basic way to use these is with dot marker! I love the dot markers because they are such a fun painting and marking activity for kids. You dot the number and then dot the circles on the ocean animal. You can see the fish below.

I also love using hands-on items. If you make the pages into a hands-on mat I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating them. You can see how we used the clear counters on the fish and the number. A great fine motor and color matching activity.

You can also use glass gems. They work on fine motor a different way from the clear counters. Plus you can get several more colors of the glass gems. We used the orange gems on the jellyfish.

You can also switch it up and use unifix cubes on the pages. You pull the cubes off and place them on the circles. It can be a fun change from circles.

Don’t forget that you can find loads of seasonal erasers and use those. We found cute shark ones! Plus some other fish ones. You also can use these on the black and white if you want to save on printer ink!

Now don’t forget if you are doing a one time use and have enough printer ink you can do the dot markers on the color as well!
