Ways to Use the Pumpkin Template Mat Printable

With the pumpkin template, you can fill the center of the pumpkin. Or you could color the pumpkin as well. This is a great template to use as a pumpkin craft.

We used orange acrylic rocks and unifix cube to fill in the pumpkin. A great fine motor activity.

Here are two pumpkin crafts that the pumpkin template would be good for Washi Tape Pumpkins and Finger Painted Pumpkins.

Ways to Use the Pumpkin Tracing Mat Printable

You are going to see two ways to use the pumpkin tracing mat. And remember, these are not the only ways to use them.

Trace and Color the Pumpkin Tracing Printables

You can print the pumpkin tracing page and then have them trace with crayons and color the pumpkin. You can see we used orange and green. You could use black to trace the pumpkin and then color it. There is no wrong way to trace and color this pumpkin.

Reuse the Pumpkin Tracing Printables

If you want to reuse the pumpkin tracing printable, you can! We printed it on colored cardstock and put it in a sheet protector. A simple way to reuse the printable.

And dry eraser markers work great to trace the pumpkin over and over. This tracing activity works great for either pumpkin you choose.

Using the 5 Pumpkin Tracing Page

This pumpkin tracing page would work great for kids to color and cut out the pumpkin to use with the book 5 Little Pumpkins. We also like the Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins.

If you want to reuse the pumpkin dot marker pages, you can laminate them or put them in sheet protectors. You could also print on cardstock to help them last longer without laminating.

If you have many kids using the pumpkin mats, then laminating works best.

You can see we use clear counters on the dot makers on the page. This is an easy way to work on the fine motor to match the circles to the dots.

The pumpkin playdough mat is great for making the outline of the pumpkin shape. You can use playdough to make a bing playdough snake or just a few small playdough snakes you connect.

You can see that we put the pumpkin playdough mat in a sheet protector. This makes it easy to reuse the page when we don’t want to laminate.

You can take that same playdough mat and use a dry eraser marker to trace between the line and have kids work on their fine motor skills while going around the pumpkin.
