12+ Space Books We Love To Read

W have loads of favorite space books but these are some of our favorites that we read over and over.

Each of these books could be use with the Space Pack or the Planets Learning Pack.

There are so many great books about space that we have come to really love. Do you have a favorite space book?

You can see each of the space books that we love below!

1. There’s No Place Like Space: All About Our Solar System (Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library) is a fun rhyming books about space. It also has the Cat in the Hat series. This is fun to see how you go from place to place in the book.

2. The Magic School Bus Lost In The Solar System is a great book. This is fun to look over all the information and they fly to save their teacher. Plus you get to see facts and information about every planet. There is a detailed chart about the planets in the back. You can also see how much you weigh at each planet!

3. The Planets by Gail Gibbons is a great book. This one has been updated since it came up for the updates to Pluto and other facts we have learned about space. Each planet has facts and information to learn. There are great vocabulary words as well.

4. Galaxies, Galaxies! is another great book about space. This one teaches you all about galaxies and the history of discovering them. This is a great book to read about the how big space really is. We did a Easy Galaxy Oil Pastel Painting activity with this book.

5. How Many Planets Circle the Sun?: And Other Questions about Our Solar System (Good Question!) is another great book with facts about the planets. This one came out in 2014 and has some of the most up to date information on the planets. It has a detailed chart at the back about each of the planets.

6. Mousetronaut: Based on a (Partially) True Story (Paula Wiseman Books) is based on a partial true story about mice and space. You get to follow this mouse through his journey to space.

7. You might also like Mousetronaut Goes to Mars (Paula Wiseman Books). It is another great story for our favorite mouse to head into space again, but this time going to Mars.

8. Touch the Brightest Star is a fun interactive book about the stars and the moon. It is fun to read and see the different things in the sky. Plus you have some learning about constellations.

9. Stars! Stars! Stars! is a great book about kids going to learn about stars. There is information plus activity ideas in the book. You can learn about galaxies, planets, constellations and more.

10. Midnight on the Moon (Magic Tree House, No. 8) and are great for for older kids. I like that she has the stories and the fact books to go with them. The fact books have lots of information on space and is told in ways that kids just love.

11. There is also a Graphic Novel for Midnight on the Moon. And this is still a great space book for kids. And this is great for kids who don’t like lots of words when reading but can still read a fun story.

12. Space (Magic Tree House Research Guide) is a fun space fact book that you can read and learn loads of facts about space. And it goes great with the moon book as well. Each page has pictures and space facts to keep you learning about space.

Space Pack is a great Tot to Kindergarten pack for kids to learn about the planets. Over 100 pages and includes space dot marker pages as well.

Planets Learning Pack is one the packs on the site that have worksheets for older kids in it. There are fill in learning sheets and more. It has over 90 pages.

Sequencing Sets for Space: Order of The Planets is a great set for the order of the planets. You have version in first four planets and last four planets. You can also do all 8 planets together.

Going to the Moon Easy Reader Book is a great easy reader book for kids to read about the moon landing. Plus learn a few terms about the history of going to the moon.
