Fun Math: Roll a Fairy Tale Castle

My girls love playing hands-on games that they can do together. We are always working on ways to make math fun. The rolling and creating math games give them a fun way to work on math facts that are fun.

The Roll a Fairy Tale Castle is an excellent way to review math and have a good time with a great medieval theme. What kid does not love knights, princesses, and dragons!

You get counting, addition or multiplication options. It is a game that can grow with your kids for a long time. We have been using these for preschool through 5th grade now. I love how flexible this game can be.

This is day 1 of the 7 Days of Medieval & Fairy Tale Printables.

The game is easy to play and get kids motivated for learning. It changes up how they work on their math facts and gives them a fun game instead of the same flashcards over and over.

The Roll a Fairy Tale Castle has three levels: Counting, Addition, and multiplication. There are two different multiplication types: 6 sided dice and 12 sided dice. This many ages of kids to use the same printable.

The counting and addition are really easy to use. You need a one or two 6-side dice. You can also use a dice in a dice. We love using the dice in a dice for math activities. If you don’t have any of those options you can use the Number Writing Dice.

The multiplication set has two options a 6-side dice or a 12-sided dice. We use the 12-sided dice in a dice a lot. Plus it only means one roll for each try. It makes it easier to remember what the two numbers are.

The numbers go from 1 to 36 for the 6-sided dice and from 1 to 144 for the 12 sided dice. It allows for just started multiplication and those that need to review all their numbers. Plus there is a sheet to keep track of all your rolls. It gives you something to look at at the end. These are loads of fun to do!

The graphics are cute and I love that it’s free, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what the object of the game is? Is there supposed to be a winner? I’m sorry, I’m sure I could think of something if I had more imagination!

    • Cassie says:

There is no winner. It is just to have a fun way to work on math facts. If you look at the game pages you will see how to build stuff and where it goes. It is about giving kids a different choice than flashcards.

I can download a bunch of things on your website but the download link on this one page is doing nothing for me. Any suggestions?
