We have really enjoyed the different learning to read wall cards that we have had. The newest free wall cards are the R-Controlled Vowels. These match up with some of the other wall cards on the site like the CVC Word Family Wall Cards.
They are easy to use and display for kids to see examples of the r-controlled words. I have found that kids love to have examples of what they are learning. All the wall cards have really helped my girls.
I do like having these cards. They really have helped my girls see the words and different places that r-controlled words can be. Plus they are great to have when working with different centers ideas.
I love displaying the wall cards on a tri-fold board. This makes it easy for our limited space to be able to display them when we need to and take them down when we are done.
Each page has several of the words that go with each r-controlled vowels. Each card has 10 words with a picture of the r-controlled vowels as well. You have all 5 vowels shown. Plus I made a cover for when you use them on a ring.
I printed ours 2 pages on one page and laminate them. I then put them on a 1 inch ring. This allows they to flip through the words. This also makes them handy to have when you be a literary center and need to have some of the words.
