Free Ocean ABC Tracing Strips – All 26 letters of the Alphabet
ABCs are something you can work on all year long. I know that we are always working on tracing our letters in many different ways.
These free ocean ABC tracing strips are great for a summer review.
They are something that would work great with my Ocean ABC Find.
You can add these to learning centers and have fun tracing letters. They have letters from A to Z for kids to trace.

These are great for later PreK and Kindergarten. You can use just the letters you are looking for or the whole set. They are great for a summer ABC review.
It is recommend that you print the letter tracing strips on cardstock and laminating them.
You can see an example of the tracing strips below. You can see the uppercase and lowercase letters on the strip with the example and the ones to trace with the ocean animals.

Things to use with the Ocean Themed ABC Tracing Strips Printable
- printer
- white cardstock
- laminator – this is similar to what I use and love!
- laminating pouches
- q-tip
- dry erase markers
- rings
Ways to Use the Ocean ABC Tracing Strips Printable
Here are a few simple ways to use the Ocean ABC tracing Strips.
Laminating the Ocean ABC Tracing Strips
You can laminate the ocean alphabet tracing strips. You can print, laminate, and then cut the abc tracing strips. Or you can cut, laminate, and then cut it out again.
We like to do the first with the laminate and then cut. If you do the laminate and then cut, it is recommended that use scissors to cut the strips to help keep the laminate from coming apart. I have a cutter that I use, but it makes the laminating peel.
Storing the Ocean ABC Tracing Strips
You can store the ocean alphabet tracing strips on a ring. This is a simple way to keep all the tracing strips together. We use a 1 inch ring for this.
Setting up a Ocean ABC Letter Tracing Centers
You can see below a simple set for an ABC ocean letter tracing center. It is simple and easy to use do. You have the tracing strips you need and a dry eraser marker.
A few ideas for your letter tracing center:
- to pull out the letters from a sight word they are working on
- letters from their names
- a spelling word for the current season
- writing just the letter you are focusing on
Tracing the Letters
You can see how simple it is to trace the letters. Plus super easy to clean off as well. You can use different colored dry eraser markers as well.
Cleaning Off Dry Erase Marker with Q-Tip
A fun way to work in more letter tracing and make it fun is to use a q-tip to wipe off the tracing. It is great for fine motor and something different for kids to do.
