There are several different sight words lists that you can use with kids. The ones that I use most often are the Dolch Sight Word lists for the various sight word printables that I make.
I also hear do you have an easy to print lists for these and yes I do! You are going to find the Dolch list for Pre-Primer, Primer, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Nouns. This covers all 220 words and 95 nouns.
For each of the lists, there are two types of pages. There is one for checking off the sight words and one for reading the sight words. You can see an example of both below.
Things to use with the Sight Words Dolch Lists
Here are some of the items we use with these lists.
Ways to use the Sight Words Dolch Lists
You can use the lists in many different ways. You don’t have to always think of them as just one way to use them.
I don’t always like white paper for the lists. My girls have always loved colored paper. And your kids might like that as well. We have our sight word flashcards printed to match the list colors.
Another fun way to use these is to give your kids a group of sight words flashcards to trace and the matching list. After they trace the word they check it off on the list. I like to mix up the cards I give them.
You can also just use these as word practice! They can read the words down the list. They can point to the words and read them.
You are going to find the following words on each list:
