Free Jingle Bells Ten Frame Card Printables: Numbers 1 to 10
Numbers and counting are something I get asked a lot for every season. There are always fun themes to do.
One fun theme I’m doing a little bit this year is Jingle Bells!
Jingle bells are so much fun to play with, plus a great sensory activity at the same time.
Today I have a fun free ten frame activity with jingle bells!
The Jingle Bells Ten Frame Card Printable is a great addition to the Christmas printables on the site.
What is Ten Frame Counting?
Ten frame counting is a math learning tool. It uses a card or grid with 10 boxes arranged in two rows of five. Students place small items or dots inside the boxes to count, show numbers, and see how numbers relate to 5 and 10.
These could be blank ten frame boxes or filled out ten frame boxes for one-to-one correspondence.
Jingle Bells Ten Frame Card Printable
Each of the jingle bell ten cards has two options. You have the ten frame card fill out to match the number and you have the ten frame blank so they can fill out the number.
This is a great sensory activity for kids to do. You can count and make loads of fun music!

We have always loved singing jingle bells. it is a blast to do. And we love the book Jingle Bells by Susan Jeffers. But I wanted to change things up so we have a fun ten frame activity with bells!

How to use the Jingle Bells Ten Frame Cards
You are going to see how we prepare and have used the jingle bell ten frame cards.
Preparing the Ten Fame Jingle Bell Cards
I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating if you plan to use the cards a lot.
Setting up the Jingle Bell Ten Frame Cards
I love to show every now and then how I set up the activity. You can see that I put the cards in a stack and give several jingle bells. You can give only 10 bells or more than ten. I have a mix of bells and to match some of the numbers.
Counting and matching Bells on the Ten Frame
After you have your activity set up you have them do their counting. You can see where we matched the color and number of the jingle bells. This gets color matching and counting at the same time. We had fun ringing all the bells.
Cover the Bells with Clear Glass Gems
Another way to do this is to use clear glass gems and cover the pictures of the bells. This allows you to see the bells and count at the same time.
Use Unifx Cubes on the Ten Frame Cards
Now if you love the idea of the cards but do want to use jingle bells you don’t have to! You can always use any hands-on item. I always keep unifix cubes around for these cards. They work great.
