Clover Watercolor Painting

We really enjoy different kinds of painting. We have been doing lots of cookie cutter painting. We did a Heart picture recently and today we have a fun clover watercolor painting! This is a fun and different way to use cookie cutters.

This is fun and easy to do. You don’t need much to do this activity. We read the book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover! with our activity. The clover is the first item she swallows. This activity also goes great with the Free St. Patrick’s Day Pack.

What you need for this activity: paper, watercolor paints (we just used green colors), bowl with water and clover cookie cutter.

How you do this activity is your hold the cookie cutter while you paint inside of it when the water colors. This is great for fine motor control of the cookie cutter. This is fun for my girls because it is a challenge and it is fun!

As you paint you add more of the paper. If you let the paper dry a little you can over lap the paintings. This is fun because you can be creative about how you place the cookie cutters. You can change the colors as you want as well.
