Exploring Tiger Stripes – Poppin Book Nook

We did something different this month for the animal/pet theme. We picked an early reader book to be the book we used. The book we read was
National Geographic Readers: Tigers.
My oldest read the book on her own and made a book report on it. I read the book to my younger two girl. They had lots of fun with this. It is a great book about learning about tigers. It was a great read after out trip to King Richard’s Faire where we got to see T.I.G.E.R.S. live on stage. We also looked through a big book about tigers that we got at the fair. Sorry that book is only available at T.I.G.E.R.S. events.

What you need: cat face drawn on paper, orange marker, and black marker.

They put colored the faces orange first.

Then they put on the stripes on their tigers. They each had their own idea of how a tiger should look.

The final product:

The girls looking through tiger book pictures.

Here are some animal & pets books that you can check out. Yes, there are some older books in this list.
