Free Soccer ABC Tracing Strip Printable
The Soccer ABC Tracing Strips are a great free letter handwriting printable for kids. They have uppercase and lowercase letters for kids to trace with a fun soccer theme.

What are ABC Tracing Strips?
ABC tracing strips are printables that help children learn to write letters and improve their fine motor skills. Letter tracing strips could also help with alphabet letter recognition and handwriting for letters.
Soccer ABC Tracing Strip Printable
The soccer letter tracing strips have and uppercase and lowercase letter together for kids to trace. They have a soccer ball and then an example of how to trace the letter below. A great handwriting idea for prek (ages 4 to 5) and kindergarten ages (5 to 6).
You can see an example of the tracing strips below. You can see the uppercase and lowercase letters on the strip with the example and the ones to trace with the soccer ball.

Things to use with the Soccer ABC Tracing Strips Printable
- printer
- white cardstock
- laminator – this is similar to what I use and love!
- laminating pouches
- dry erase laminating pouches
- q-tip
- dry erase markers

Ways to Use the Soccer ABC Tracing Strips Printable
You are going to see a few ways we have used the soccer alphabet tracing strips.
Laminating the Soccer ABC Tracing Strips
You can start off by preparing the soccer ABC tracing strips. You can print the letter strips on cardstock, and laminate them. This helps them last longer as you use them in learning centers.
You can laminate and then cut out or cut out and then laminate. Do what works best for your laminator. You can see below we laminate and then cut out the tracing strips.
Storing the Soccer ABC Tracing Strips
After you have the soccer letter tracing strips laminate and cut out. Then you want to store them on a ring. You can use a 1 inch ring for this. You can see we have ours on a ring. It makes them super easy to use and store for later use.
Setting up a Soccer ABC Letter Tracing Centers
You can use these soccer letter tracing stirps in a handwriting center. You can give them all the letter or just some of the letters. Then you use a dry erase marker to trace the letters. Have one letter on a strip allows kids to focus on just that letter.
You can mix up the letters in different ways. You can see a few ideas here to trace in tracing centers:
– Letter of the Day
– Letters in their name
– Letter of sight words they are working on
– CVC words they are learning
– Vocab words
– Letter of the Day
– Spelling lists
Tracing the Letters
You have have kids work on tracing the letters. You could do uppercase and lowercase, uppercase only, and lowercase only. Each of these options still works on letter tracing but have them focus on the letters differently. If you do both letters you are just tracing the the letters on the whole strip.
If you do uppercase only or lowercase only then kids will need to focus on letter case.
Cleaning Off Dry Erase Marker with Q-Tip
If you really want to challenge kids on their handwriting, then add in cleaning off the tracing with a q-tip or cotton swab. This gives more fine motor work while still working on handwriting. You are just doing it different.
You can see we did this but did lowercase letters first. And we are going to do the uppercase after. And if you do this, then use the dry erase laminating pouches. It works a lot easier with that type of laminating sheet.
