I just love doing gross motor with my girls. We do it with randoms books and read the book once and pick out movements. It is tons of fun for my girls and me to do. It also helps get the wiggles out.
We are on a big Christmas book reading time right now. We always read Christmas books in December. Sometimes I wrap them and sometimes we just pick out our favorite to read. Plus everyone is reading now so we can all take turns reading the books.
Today I have a very fun post about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
I wrote this guest post for Rainy Day Mum! You can read the full details and how to do all the movements there!
The movements we used are Rudolph, reindeer, the sleigh, Santa, fog, elves, and kids.
A lot of these same movements can be used with other Christmas books! You can also check out these other gross motor movements:
- Spinning and Prancing Christmas Themed Gross Motor Dice
- Snowy Winter Gross Motor Dice for Indoor Fun
- 10 Lords a Leaping: Jumping Activities
If you are looking for more Christmas Activities be sure to check out all of them on the site!
