It is Thanksgiving time and I love having different printables for the seasons. I’ve got a new printable that matches with the Turkey ABC Tracing Strips . They are Turkey Number tracing strips.

The turkeys are super cute and the tracing strips are a great way to work on numbers from 0 to 20.

They are simple and easy to use. Plus this new set works great with my Turkey Themed Number Find!

These are great for later PreK and Kindergarten. You can use just the numbers you are looking for or the whole set. They are great for Thanksgiving. Plus you can just print and use the numbers you are working on.

I recommend cutting and laminating the strips to use them over and over. You can use a hole punch to make a hole in the circle and put them on a ring. It also makes them easy to store.

Things to use with the Turkey Themed Number Tracing Strips Printable

printer
white cardstock
laminator – this is similar to what I use and love!
laminating pouches
q-tip
dry erase markers
1 inch ring
sheet protectors

Ways to Use the Turkey Number Tracing Strips Printable

I’m going to show you a few ways that we have used the Turkey themed number tracing strips.

Store the Turkey Number Tracing strips on a Ring

You can store the turkey number strips on a ring. That way you can put on only the tracing strips that you need.

Setting up a Number Tracing Station

You can see that you have the number tracing strip and a dry erase marker. You can put as many of as few of the turkey number strips as you need.

If you are working on 1 to 10 you can only put those on. If you are working 1 to 5 then put those tracing strips on. You can make this as flexible as you need. You could just use one of them at a time and add as you go.

Trace the Numbers with a Dry Erase Marker

You can use dry erase markers on these because they have been laminated.

You can have them clean off the number tracing strips afterward or have them show you the numbers before they wipe them off.

And yes you can trace the example of how to write the numbers.

Cleaning off the number tracing strips

After they trace the number on the tracing strip you can have them clean off the numbers with a q-tip. This is a great way to add extra fine motor work into their writing.
