Fun Books to Read from April 2018 Book Finds

I’m always amazed at how many great books come out each month. There are more books that we can keep track of at times. We love them all and are always looking new ones.

We have a mix of books from the library and the store. Why do we look for books at in the stores? Well because you will find something you might never have seen. Plus you can browse through so many different types of books. I love that some of our favorite books came from random books we found in a bookstore.

Books are something we can always learn from!

Earth, friends, ocean, pirate, elephant and piggie like, artists: Vincent Van Gogh -

As always there are links to Amazon for the books so you can sometimes see sample pages and any purchases help keep 3 Dinosaurs going.

Earth! My First 4.54 Billion Years is all about the Earth. I starts at the present and goes back to the start and cover the different tiems of the Earth. We had a blast reading the book! It also has more inforamtion at the end of the book.

On the Night of the Shooting Star is a story about two neighbors that live next to each other and never talk. Rabbit and Dog jsut go about their day until one day a shooting star comes along and things change. I love this story of friendship!

Vincent Can’t Sleep: Van Gogh Paints the Night Sky is a book about the artist. I love these books because of brings out who the person was and we can learn about them. You never know what you will learn in these books. Kids can gain a lot of information about people in amazing ways.

Elephant & Piggie Like Reading! It’s Shoe Time! is another great book for those that love this style of reading. I love the right and left and other words around shoes. Kids will love this book!

TWo fun books that we have enjoyed are There Was an Old Pirate Who Swallowed a Map! (There Was an Old Lad) and There Was an Old Mermaid Who Swallowed a Shark! (There Was an Old Lad). Both of them follow a new line of stories and have a 2 new character to help tell the story along. Plus these have additional information about the books at the end.

My Journey to the Stars is great book about his year in space. I love the mix of real pictures and drawn art for the book. Follow his journey of a year in space.
