8 Free Bug Bookmark Printables for Kids
Bookmarks always seem to be something we are looking for. I’m always printing bookmarks off for my girls. With it being bug week I thought a change in bookmarks might be fun for them.
Bugs have always been a big theme at our house. We have done loads of activities with them over the years. We enjoy every spring going out the looking for bugs.
The bookmarks are just fun and cute to have. Plus they are a great way to add some fun to your reading.

What is a Bookmark?
A bookmark is something used to mark one’s place in a book.
Bookmarks can be used to keep track of where you read. But they can also mark your favorite place in a book.

The bug bookmark printables are great for spring and summer. You have horizontal and vertical bookmarks for kids.
The bookmarks have 4 per page. You are going to find many different pictures and bugs from bees, butterflies, ladybugs spiders, worms, ants and more.
Each one has a fun saying on the bookmark as well. These are great for all bug lovers in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade.
Bug Vertical Bookmarks
You have three bug bookmarks that are vertical with sayings. These are great to use with any book and fun for a bug theme for first grade and second grade.

Preparing the Bug Bookmarks
You can printing these bug bookmarks on white cardstock and laminating them. It helps the bookmarks last longer as well.
You could also use the stardust cardstock for the bookmarks. It add a little extra color on the bookmarks but still mostly white. You can also add a little bit of yarn or ribbon at the top of the bookmarks.
Ways to use the Bug Bookmarks
You are going to see a few ways that we have used bookmarks.
Keep Your Place in Reading
These are great keep place in books that kids are reading. You can us them in beginner books or with chapter books. Kids will have fun using them during spring and summer.
I keep extra in our library box so they can always get another if they need it. You can these with kids who love bugs all year.
Use the Bookmarks as Pointers
You can change up how you use the bug bookmarks You can use them as pointers with kids. They are easy to use and kids will love the change.

Use Them in Chapter Books
You can use these bug bookmarks with chapter books. They are great for keeping your place. You can not laminate the bookmark this time and have kids write their page number on the back of the bookmark incase the bookmark falls out.
