What are CVCC Words?
CVCC words are words that have a consonant vowel and two consonants. The two consonants at the end are consonant blend. That is two letters that make their own sounds but are together. You can also have two consonants at the end that are digraphs, that is two letters that make the same sound.
You will find words like mast, ball, dunk, and nest. These are just a few examples. You will find that most of these have a short vowel sound.
You are going to find several CVCC words in the set. Many of them have ending consonant blends like -ll, -ng, -nd, -st, nk, mp in these printables.
You are also going to find some consonant digraphs ending words with ng, sh, and ck.
You can also call these two letters at the end a two letter consonant cluster.
