Ways to Use the Number 1 to 1 Correspondence Printable
Preparing the Number 1 to 1 Correspondence Printable
For the cards you want to print them on cardstock and laminate them. This helps them last longer for repeated use.
If you plan on using them just a few times the just print on cardstock.
The book version you can print on white copy paper and staple on the side. This gives each child their own copy of the pages.
You can also print the book version on colored paper or color cardstock to change it up for the season.
Setting up a Number Center
You want to give them a stack of cards with glass gems. You want the glass gems to match the total number of circles on the cards.
If you only use numbers 1 to 3. You only have 3 total gems.
We have set up below for all 10 cards. You have the cards mixed in the stack and all ten number cards.
Counting the Circles and Covering the Circles
As you use the number card you because each number only has the same number of circles this allows kids to only count up to that number and they can see how many to cover without guessing how many they need.
This helps with kids in preschool and PreK understand the rules of counting better.
Preparing the Number Correspondence Book
You can print out the number 1 to 1 correspondence book and cut out the pages and staple them on the left hand side.
You can print the number book on colored paper as well.
Using the Number Correspondence Book
As you flip through the pages of the book you can see we used dot marker to dot the circles in the book.
You could also use circle stickers.
You can do the book the with many different types of counters as well. And then each child has their own counting book.
