May Virtual Book Club: Eric Carle

Eric Carle is one of our favorite authors! There are so many great books by him. I’m always happy when we run into a book of his to read or do an activity with them.

Several years ago we went to Eric Carle Museum and loved it. There was so much fun information to learn about how he does his books. Plus there were some other book artists there as well. There are so many fun books to read.

For the last Virtual Book Club for Eric Carle, we did a Playdough House for Hermit Crab. It was tons of fun. There are always so many fun books. Another favorite at our house is the Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See? (My First Reader). We did some fun gross motor movements with it. There are so many fun books to explore! I think a week does not go by that we don’t read at least one of his books.

I also made a pack to go with the book A House for Hermit Crab and the Free House for Hermit Crab Pack. The book is fun to learn about how to make something your own and grow with you. Plus the sharing at the end.

The three books this month are: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Tiny Seed (The World of Eric Carle) and The Mixed-Up Chameleon.

Here are some other Eric Carle books you can check out:

There is not linky for this but a group post that will have ALL the activities on it. It is really fun to see what everyone does! I still encourage you to do an activity inspired by one of the three books! It is always fun to have activities with books.

Check out the Authors for the year and the dates you can come see the activities!
