How we made the Paper Roll Olympic Rings Painting

You can see all the steps below we used to make the Olympic rings painting.

Draw Circles on the Paper

We used a 12 x 18 paper for this. We also used a small circle cookie cutter in the set of cookie cutters that we have. We traced the outside of the cookie cutter. You have three rings on the top and two on the bottom for the Olympic Flag rings.

You could trace the inside. If you have younger kids you might want to have the circles on the paper.

If you have older kids have them trace the circles!

Dip the Paper Roll in Paint

You put the paint in a tray or on a paper plate and make sure you have enough paint to get the whole edge of the paper roll in the paint.

You can see we used a paper plate this time. We have lids from old bowls that we have used as well.

Stamp the Paint on the Paper

Then stamp the paint around the circle on the paper. You can find a picture of the Ring is the Summer Olympic Pack.

They can stamp as many or as few as they want around the ring. Don’t set a limit on the number of times they stamp. And if they are younger it is totally okay if the paper roll goes all over the paper!

Repeat with other colors for the Olympic Flag

Then repeat the process for all the colors on the flag. Remember this is a fun project and if they are younger and get bored then don’t worry about it. Let them have fun doing the art project.
