Free Valentine ABC Tracing Strips – All 26 letters of the Alphabet

ABCs are something you can work on all year long. I know that we are always working on tracing our letters many different ways.

These Valentine ABC tracing strips are great for Valentine’s or any heart theme. They work on tracing letters for kids with a fun seasonal change for Valentine’s Day.

This is a great addition to the Valentines Printables on the site.

I have loads of Valentine’s activities on the site and it would also work well with my Valentines Pack! It has some single page ABC tracing sheets.

It is recommend that you print the letter tracing strips on cardstock and laminating Them.

You can see an example of the tracing strips below. You can see the uppercase and lowercase letters on the strip with the example and the ones to trace with the hearts.

Things to use with the Heart Themed ABC Tracing Strips Printable

• printer
• white cardstock
• laminator – this is similar to what I use and love!
• laminating pouches
• q-tip
• dry erase markers
• 1 inch ring

Ways to Use the Valentine ABC Tracing Strips Printable

You are going to see a few ways to use these heart ABC letter tracing strips.

Laminating the Valentine ABC Tracing Strips

You can print the tracing strips on cardstock and then laminate them. You can laminate and then cut the letter tracing strip out or cut and then laminate.

You can see below that we like to laminate and then cut the tracing strips out.

Storing the Valentine ABC Tracing Strips

After you have the tracing strips laminated and cut out you can store them on a ring. The ring is nice because you can put on the letters you are working on or all the letters.

Plus it makes it easy to store when you are doing to keep them together between kids using them.

Setting up a Valentine ABC Letter Tracing Centers

You can see below we have the letter tracing center set up. You have a dry eraser marker and the letters you are using on a ring. The ring makes it easy to flip through the letters.

Here are a few other ideas you could do with the letters
– You could put all the letters for a sight word they are learning. This is a great kindergarten center idea.

– You could put on the letters of their name. This is a great kindergarten and PreK center idea.

– You could just give them one letter at a time. This is a great PreK center idea.

Tracing the Letters

After you know what letters you are going to use have them trace the letters. They have the example of how to trace the letters and then let them trace the letters and have fun!

The dry erase marker is easy to wipe off. If you have trouble getting the marker off use a dry erase board cleaner and it comes right off.

You can also have kids trace the letter examples and then trace the letters on the strip. You can be flexible in how you use these.
