Paper Roll Painted Earth for Earth Day

One of my favorite themes about Earth Day is remembering that we are trying to take care of the Earth and how important it is.

We love reusing things and I’m always looking to see how we can use something again. Paper rolls are something we collect around the house a lot. Since we are cleaning out things I thought it would be fun to use a few of them to make a paper roll stamped Earth!

Super simple to set up and have kids do.

What Is A Paper Roll Painting?

Paper roll painting is where you apply paint to a piece of paper using a paper roll. You can stamp the paper roll, roll the paper roll and more.

What you need for the Paper Roll Painted Earth

• paper rolls
• green paint
• blue paint
• paper plate
• 12 by 18 craft paper

How we made our Paper Roll Painted Earths

You will see the way we made our paper roll painted Earths.

Draw the Circle on the Paper

You want to have a large size circle on the paper. You can do the circle in advance or have kids do it. Depends on the age of the kids.

We used a large plate for our circle.

Paint on a Paper plate

We put the paint on a paper plate. You can also use other items for this as well. Then you put the paper rolls in the paint and make sure to spread the paint around so the whole paper roll can be covered.

Start Stamping Paint on the Circle

You want to start stamping paint on the paper in the circle. You can start with either color. You can encourage them to make it look like the Earth or just let them stamp with the two colors.

You can see we started a second color with green this time.

Keep Paint the Earth

You can keep painting the Earth with the paper rolls and some of the rolls can over lap. It makes an amazing picture for kids.
