Shaving Cream and Foam Blocks Sensory Play
My girls just love having different types of sensory activities they can do. I always have a sensory bin set up that they can play with. I don’t always black about them either. Sometimes they are repeats from years before and sometimes we just like to have fun without worries. We have done this foam block sensory bin before but it has been ages.
Today I’m sharing that this is a really fun and messy sensory play that is simple and easy to set up.
The Shaving Cream and Foam Blocks Sensory Bin is a great addition to the sensory bins on the site.
Shaving Cream and Foam Blocks Sensory Play
This is a sensory activity that took me less than 3 minutes to set up. It spent more time putting the shaving cream in than anything. It is easy for them to play in as well. It is also a fun sensory bin that kids can help set up as well.
It is an easy clean up as well. I just have to run everything in the tub for a minute for it to be all cleaned up.
I sometimes let the girls do it one at a time or in groups. This time, they each got their own bin to play with.
You can also see that this is a great benefits of sensory play.
What you need for the Shaving Cream and Foam Blocks activity
- bin or use a tray
- foam blocks
- shaving cream
For my youngest, this is her first time in years in playing with the foam blocks and shaving cream. She dug right in but was hesitant at first. She liked to show me how much she had on her hands. She liked that the blocks stuck to her hands as much as the cream did. We counted a few times to see just how many blocks she picked up with just the shaving cream.
She did at one time make a small tower from some of the blocks.
After playing for a while, it was her goal to try and cover all the foam blocks and not have any of them showing or attached to her hands. What I really love about this type of play is that it is 100% driven by her. I don’t give any input into what she should be doing.
This is also a fun activity to do during the winter when you are stuck inside.
