Play in the Space Sensory Bin
Sensory bins are for sensory play. And if all you do is play with the items in the sensory bin then you have done a great job.
Let them scoop and pour and explore each part of the sensory bin. Kids will love play in the bin with all the different textures and figures.

Sort Items in the Space Sensory Bin
You can have some fun and sort items in the sensory bin. You can sort planets, people and equipment. You could also sort stars, we just did not this time.
You can also ask about the difference between the space people and the different types of space equipment.

Put the Planets in order
You can challenge kids to put the planets in order. And this is super fun to look at the planets and see which would fit in what order.
You can use a book for help if you need it.
Use the Stars to Make Letters, Numbers & Shapes
You can use the stars in the bin to make letters, numbers or shapes. Tell them what to make. You can say make a circles. Then they make a circle.
It is fun to challenge kids with this. And works great for older kids and still work on sensory play.

Find Buttons that are Similar
Since this is a collection of random black buttons you can challenge kids to find buttons that are similar or the same. You could also have them find buttons that are the same size even if they look different.
A fun way to work fine motor and different comparing skills.

Remember to Always Play in the Sensory Bin
Always remember that is all you do is play in a sensory bin, then that is okay. Sensory bins are make for sensory play.
We don’t do amazing set ups for sensory bins, because they are just going to play in the bin. And why spend the time with a fun display for it all to get mixed up.
