Free School Help Printables: Desk Helps, Notes & Word Walls
School is on its way, and it is happening fast. I wanted to share some of the free school help printables that I’ve made to use with my girls for school and after school.
There are two of them that I have loved having. One is a note to the school for when you are picking them up or just letting them know something. The second is desk help charts to use. And the final is mini word walls.
The School Help Printables are a great addition to the school printables on the site.
School Help Printables: Desk Helps, Notes & Word Walls
You have two desk helps, notes for school and a word wall. All of the desk help printables I have placed on folders to help them be easier to see and use.
Desk Help Printables for Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade
The desk helps are printables you have around to help with math, reading, or other types of learning. You have a desk help for kindergarten and first grade and a desk help for later first grade into second grade. Both help kids with learning and are easy to use.
These can be used to help with homework after school or during homeschooling.
Desk Help For Kindergarten & First Grade
First one Desk help for after school or during homeschooling. There are two types of Desk Helps. One has a chart that is great for older kids with ABCs, number line, 100 chart, and coins. I like having this on the chart for my oldest. The number line helps with basic math and then 100 chart helps as you get moving when you are doing older math.
– You have all 26 letters of the alphabet at the top two rows with uppercase and lowercase letters and a matching picture.
– A number line from 1 to 20 below the alphabet
– You have a 100 chart to use or math beyond 20
– You have a money chart with a picture, name, and amount for kids with penny, nickel, dime and quarter.
Desk Help For Kindergarten & First Grade
The second Desk Help chart has ABCs, number line, colors, and shapes. This is ideal for preschoolers, kindergartners, and the beginning of first grade.
– You have all 26 letters of the alphabet at the top two rows with uppercase and lowercase letters and a matching picture.
– A number line from 1 to 20 below the alphabet
– You have the color word with a matching crayon below to match the color word.
– You have 9 shapes for kids with the shape word and then the geometric shape.
Travel Side Word Wall Printable
The next Desk help is a Word Wall that is travel size. This is simple and easy to use. It is small and compact and I put it on the back on the front desk help. I also change this out as the words change as they progress through school.
Note For School Printable
The next printable is a note for the school or teacher. I really love this idea, because if I pick my girls up early from school I have to send in a note. I would always forget something in part of the note. This printable helps me make sure I give all the information I need to the school or the teacher. There are 2 per page and means you will have an extra one when you print one!

This is the first time I have had a school age kid but I have a feeling it is going to be crazy getting into the routine of school.
As much as the end of summer is drawing near, the idea of starting anew for this school year is quite refreshing -new curriculums and lessons to try, different approach and styles. It’s very exciting 🙂

I love back to school time and summer always makes me really appreciate what teachers do, so I always shower them with as much extra supplies and clorox wipes that I can. It’s fun picking all the gear out with my son.

I am really excited for back to school time! We haven’t really stopped schooling this summer, because my daughter gets so excited about “school.” We will be starting home-preschool in just a few weeks though and I plan to change it up a lot. I’m excited for lots of new ideas and a change in our daily schedule. My daughter is really anticipating it too!

My oldest, a senior this year, always gets revved up around this time of year. My middle son is starting kindergarten this year (yeah, 10 1/2 years apart!) through an online public charter school. He’s just as excited as his big brother. I get a big kick out of finding good deals, and this time of year is the best for getting amazing prices on things we always need!

I love these printable desk helps. I do have a question though. I tried to print them but when I go to a print preview the page comes up blank and the printer doesn’t print anything. It could just be a problem on my end but I wanted to ask just in case. Thank you so much!
Have you downloaded the files or are you printing from the site? Sometimes printing from the web and not having an updated adobe can cause problems. I would say try a different browser or download the files and print from your computer. I checked the files and there are they and I was able to print them from the site.

My son and I are ready for school to start. I am not thinking of how I am going to react to the first day of Kinder.
We don’t start back for 2 weeks. I am 30 weeks pregnant, so am a little nervous about the coming year. I’m going to prep for the coming year in the next two weeks in the hopes that it will make the transition to homeschooling with a newborn more seamless.
