What are CVCE words?
CVCE words are work that has the silent e at the end. I have also heard them called “magic e words”. They are Consonant Vowel Consonant E words.
So that you will find words like mine or hike are CVCe words. The e at the end of the words makes the vowel in the CVCe words a long vowel sound.

Setting Up the CVCe Trace Color & Write Learning Center
You can set up a simple center for the CVCe trace color and write worksheet. We are using the clear spinners on the trace, color and write spinner. You could also use the die instead of the spinner.
You can use a pencil and crayons. Or maybe just markers. You can add the writing and coloring tools that works best for your kids.
You can also use a pencil and paperclip to make a spinner. Do what works for your kids skill levels.
Spin and Trace, Color or Write
You can see how fun it is below to do. You can see that kids will spin the spinner and then trace color or write.
You can have them say the words as they trace, color or write. It if fun to see what column gets done first. You can also have kids stop when one column is done or have them finish all the columns. Do what works best for your kids.

You can do the CVCe worksheet without the spinner or dice. You can have them just do each line across on the page. You can see what we did eac line in a differed color marker.
You can do one line each day and focus on the new CVCe word they are learning.
