The free Pencil Bookmark Printables are great for back to school for kids. These are simple bookmarks you can use with kids.
You have a color and black and white version. And you can use the pencil version that works best for you.
These are simple so that there is not much fuss to use them. You can use them with kindergarten, first grade and second grade. Older kids might like them as well.

Pencil Bookmark Printables
The pencil bookmarks are four simple bookmarks on one page. It has the same pencil on each bookmark to give kids the same bookmark.
These come in color and black and white versions.
You can use these with kids in kindergarten (ages 5 to 6), first grade (ages 6 to 7), second grade (ages 7 to 8), and third grade (ages 8 to 9). You can also use them with older kids.

You have four black and white pencils on a page. This is great for coloring and easy to print and cut. A fun center idea for back to school.

Preparing the Pencil Bookmarks
The color pencil bookmarks are best printed on cardstock and then laminated. You can punch a hold out at the top and add a ribbon or yarn. We use yarn a lot.
We use pink yarn to match the top the pencil. A fun bookmark that is now ready to use.
If you use these in a school classroom you could write the kids names on the back of bookmark.
You can also print the black and white on white cardstock to allow for coloring.
Ways to use the Pencil Bookmarks
You are going to see a few suggestions on how to use the bookmarks. It is always fun to have ideas but you might have different ideas. And that is okay.
Use the Pencil Bookmarks for Back to School
A fun idea is to use the bookmarks for back to school. You can use them as a welcome packet or just a fun new bookmarks at the start of the year.
You can also print the black and white bookmarks on color cardstock and change it during the year to different colors. A fun change that is easy to do.
Coloring the Pencil Bookmarks
Since there is a black and white version kids can have kids coloring and decorating their pencils. They could use their favorite color. Or any color they want. These are fun because it makes it unique for each kids that makes them.
You could use crayons, colored pencils, or markers for your coloring.
Use Them in Chapter Books
These work great in chapter books for kids. You can use them in any series that you are reading. Let kids have fun with these bookmarks.
