Folktales are a this months Poppins Book Nook Theme. I really like how many different Folktales there are.

Folktales are also hard to distinguish from fairy tales. It is a story passed down and often has a moral to the story. There is often no fairies or magic in them. It is also an oral story that is handed down and will be something to help us deal with the world around us. There are many different types of folktales since there are so many over the world. I do know that two of my favorite folktales are The Mitten and The Little Red Hen (Little Golden Book).
