A sensory bin is typically a plastic tub or container filled with carefully selected materials and objects to stimulate the senses of children in preschool.
Sensory bins might have rice, water beads, corn, beans, or other types of filler with small items.

Ways to Use the Pirate Treasure Kinetic Sensory Bin
You are going to see a few ways to use the pirate treasure sensory bin for kids. These are just ideas. And always follow the lead of kids using the sensory bin.
Just Play in the Pirate Sensory Bin
One of the fun part about a sensory bin is just playing in the sensory bin. Let them explore the gold and jewels in the bin. It is fun to see the gold and different colors of jewels as they play in the sensory bin.
And let them enjoy playing with the different parts as well. You can add cups or sensory scoops if kids want them.

Sort Gold and Gems In the Sensory Bin
You can do a fun sorting activity. You can have kids sort the gems and gold to different sides of the bin. And it is fun to dig in the sand to find them all.
You can talk about colors while you sort the gems. What color is that gems? Did you see a blue gem? What gem is close to the gold color.

Make Letters, Numbers & Shapes
If you have an area cleared up you can make letters, numbers and shapes with the gems or gold. You can see we made a letter in the sensory bin. You can pick letters in their name, number of the day or shape they are learning.

Bury the Treasure
It is loads of fun to burry all the gems and gold in the sand. You can make a pile on the gems and gold in the middle. You can then color it all with the sand. A fun way to play in the sand and items.

You can also have fun digging out the treasure after you are done. And do the activity again if you want.

Remember to Just play in the Pirate Treasure Sensory Bin
As always remember to play in the sensory bins. They are mainly for play but kids can have fun learning in them as well.
But sensory play is really important to some kids. And keeping a sensory bin around helps them with their sensory needs.
