A fun tissue paper craft that works for A Medieval theme and Valentine’s. We read this fun book and make a craft to go with the book.

You can do this craft with kids of different ages.

We made a craft to go with a book. A kiss that flew through the air. And we made that kiss on our paper with tissue paper.

The Kiss that Miss Book

We read The Kiss That Missed by David Melling. It is a great story about a king who was in too much of a hurry and blew a kiss to the prince at bedtime that missed. The story is about the knight that goes after the kiss. The girls love the story and tracing with their fingers where the kiss went and the adventure the knight took!

• 12 by 18 craft paper with line
• glue
• gold tissue paper

How we made the Kiss That Missed Craft

You will see the steps below we used to make this fun craft. As a side note you could have older kids draw the line on the paper rather than having a line already there for kids to use.

Step 1: Put Glue on the Line

You are going to start out by putting the glue on the line on the paper. You can do the whole line or the line in sections.

Step 2: Put the Gold tissue Paper on the Glue

They put the gold tissue paper on the glue. They can do a lot of them all of once or one at a time. You can scrunch the tissue paper or leave it flat.

Do what works best for the age of kids doing the craft.

Step 3: Check to see that the Tissue paper is on the Glue

You an have kids lift up the paper and check to see that all the tissue paper is sticking to the glue.

And then you can repeat step 1 and 2 if you need to.
