How to use the BOB Books Set 1 printables for Book 1 Mat & Book 2 Sam
Each of these printables has several ways to use them. Each post will highlight several ways to use them. All the printables have just the new words in each book. So you can work on new words with each book.
Each of the sets has a read, trace and stamp page. These will just have the new words from the book. So that you can build on what they know already. You can keep the page together or cut it apart. You can see that we traced with pencils and stamped the words. We did the consonants and vowels in different colors.

The word path or word mazes are loads of fun. Each of the mazes has 1 word you focus on but the rest of the words are from the book as well. This allows you to work recognizing the words. We used dot marker to follow the path through the word maze.

There are a set of cube flashcards in each set. This set has 6 cards. You can print the cards on cardstock. We did white cardstock this time. But you could do color cardstock
. I printed the page twice and set it up as a matching game.

As you go up in books keep the cube cards around. They are great for building sentences as you read!

You can have some fund decoding words from the book. There is an answer sheet that has all the letters. You start out with only a few letters in the first few books. But each book adds more and more letters. It is a great way to see how their reading words grow.

There is a fun sentence writing page. This page can be used for writing practice or any way you want. If your child has a problem coming up with a sentence you can always write on from the book.

Merci
