This Easter themed activity we have done several times over the year but I’ve never blogged about it. I wanted to share some of the ways that I use some of the printables on the site. I love the change of seasons and that you can change up the activities as the season changes.
We have been doing a lot of reviewing of sight words with my youngest. This was a fun and different way to review what she has been learning in school and in the Romping & Roaring Preprimer Sight Words Packs.
This was really easy to set up and do. This can be changed up daily for different words. We have done sight words, CVC Word Family Words and a few others. It was easy to just print some of the Easter Writing Pages to practice the words on.
This could be changed up for different types of bins during the year as well.
What you need for the Easter Egg Sight Word Matching Activity

How you do the Easter Egg Sight Word Matching Activity
I put the sight word cards on the right and the paper in the middle. The eggs with the tiles are in the bin.
My youngest was very excited to pick out the eggs from the bin. She really likes doing this type of activity. She opened the egg and then made a sight word that she knew from the letters. She would say what word she made.
Then she would match the tiles to the sight word cards. She would also repeat the word pointing to the cards and the tiles.
Then she would write the word twice on the paper. I used the guide lined paper and cards since that is what she is currently using at school and home. It helped her form her words correctly as she would write each word.
We repeated this activity for all her current sight words that we have been working on. she really likes doing something that is simple and fun to learn with.
