How we made the Halloween Watercolor Painting
You can see the steps below that we used to make the Halloween painting.
Step 1: Place the Halloween Cookie Cutter on the Watercolor Paper
You can see that we place the cookie cutter on the watercolor paper. There is no right or wrong as to where you place the cookie cutters.
You can do the middle, side, or even the edge of the paper.
Step 2: Hold the Halloween Cookie Cutter and Paint Inside
You are going to want to hold on the top or sides of the cookie cutter. You are going to want to do what is best for the age of kids that are going this craft.
Then you will use a paint brush with watercolor to paint inside the cookie cutter. You want to make sure you cover all the sides of the cookie cutter. We use a bigger paint brush to make it easier to paint the inside of cookie cutters.
Step 3: Look the the Halloween on the Paper
You are going to lift off the cookie cutter and then look at how you did with you painting. Younger kids just let whatever they painted be okay. If you want to change this for older kids you can.
Older kids might want to fix their painting and you can let them. Some of the cookie cutters are a challenge.
Step 4: Keep Painting Halloween
After you have painted one cookie cutter you can do another Halloween cookie cutter. And add more to the page.
And you can keep adding more Halloween themes on the page. And let kids be creative in how they paint their picture and they may have different ideas than what you might think.
And let them be creative with their Halloween picture.
