If you had not guessed dinosaurs are a HUGE thing at our house. We have more dinosaurs than we do other things. I’m always looking for ways to include their favorite things into our learning. And since we have been loving the counting mats I thought I would add a few more of them!
The fun part about these mats is that you can use so many different items with them! Plus this is a part of the 31 days of Printables! It is the first of the Dinosaur themed printables.
It is fun having counting mats that kids can use. They love changing up their activities and the way we use them. We are using some fun dinosaur counters with the mats. They are such fun counters and I could not resist using them with my girls. We loved the set we used with the Ocean Counting Mats.
Each of the mats has a ten frame box, the number word and number digit that you can use for playdough if you want.
Here are some things we have used with these mats:
- white cardstock
- laminating pouches
- Learning Resources Back In Time Dinosaur Counters
- glass gems
- Safari LTD Dinos Toob
- clear counting chips
- sheet protectors
Ways to use these Dinosaur Counting mats
We have fun cycling through the different mats. Here is a look at how I set the mats up to be used. We are using dinosaur counters, green glass gems and playdough. I put them in sheet protectors in a binder and we pull out the number we are working on.
What you will find in the free Dinosaur Counting Mats:
- Numbers 1 to 10
- Ten Frames for Counting
- Number Digit and Number Word
- 10 pages of printables
- 20 dinosaurs & 10 eggs for using with the mats
