I love colorful fireworks. They are so much fun to see in the sky. And today I have a fun finger painting Fireworks with glitter paints!
Super fun and easy to do a painting project that takes very little time to set up and do.
Plus who does not love something fun and simple like making your own fireworks display!
This is a great project for the Fourth of July or every for New Years Eve.
I love to change things up and using glitter paints is loads of fun. You get bright colors with glitter. Plus it is much easier when the glitter is in the paint and not adding glitter to the painting project.
This is a great art project that different ages can do. For younger kids make sure they have something to color up their clothes. And with older kids let them be as creative as they want. This is about making art not sticking to a set activity.
Plus the results are loads of fun!
What you need for the Firework Finger Painting

How we made our Finger Paint Fireworks
You can start by drawing the lines for your fireworks. This lets you know when you paint where you want it and the shape it will be.
Now if you have younger kids you could draw the lines for them.

I use a paint tray and put out all the glitter paint
colors for them to use. The tray is easy to clean up and great because we reuse it a lot. Look at all that fun glitter!
BTW it might not show it but I really don’t like glitter all that much! But hey kids love using different things.

Then dip the finger in the paint that you want to use. Yup, it will be a little messy. But it is fun to change up how you do your painting.
If you have one that does not want to finger paint think about using q-tips instead.

Then paint away! You use your finger to trace the lines you have drawn. You might need to dip back into the paint a few times but still fun.

Between colors, you might want to wash your hands. We used a paper towel with a little water on it.

Or you could just use one color for each finger!

Now oftentimes we finish a project and still have paint. I don’t like to waste is so we pull out another piece of paper and have fun using the rest up!

When we finish up. we clean the table up with a magic eraser! It is great for getting dry paint off! If you want to avoid a mess you could also use something under your painting.
