Learning about place value can be one of the hardest things to do. I know that my girls struggled with some of it. Last year my oldest was in 4th grade and it was one of the first projects they worked on.
We had done some basic place value with ones, tens, hundreds and thousand. It was a big leap to go beyond that. I made this simple book to help.
The book was made simply to teach kids how numbers get bigger. And to see how the number words work with it. The book goes from ones place value to the 100 million place value. You can see how each number builds up as it goes. We had fun just reading through the book.

This is a fun book that can also be made into a hands-on learning activity as well. We used crayons, unifix cubes
and pasta while reading the book. We matched the crayon colors up to the unifix cubes
.

They kept the same color for each place value through the book. As they came where you needed a coma we put a pasta in for it between the unifx cubes. This let you see the changes of the different numbers.

What you will find in the printable:
- Place value numbers from ones to 100 million
- Numbers that build up as they go
- number sentence to match as the numbers grow
- 10 pages in each book

You have amazing resources. I use lots of them in my special needs classroom and the kids really engage. Thanks very much Cassie!
