Ways to Use the Free Spring Themed Money Puzzle Printable
You are going to see a few ways to use the puzzle and the mat in a learning center and ways to prepare the puzzle.
Preparing the Money Puzzle to Use
You can see we laminated the puzzle mat. It has all the coins on it. Then we used wall putty in the corners of the mat.
The wall putty makes it so kids can pick up the puzzle and move it around and the pieces stay there. It is also easy to remove the putty and use it again for other centers.
Setting Up the Puzzle Center
You can set up the coin puzzle center as you see below. We have the puzzle mat prepared and the pieces. We also have the money bookmarks to help them with the amount for each coin.
Money Puzzle Pieces in a Sensory Bin
Another fun way to use the puzzle pieces is to put them I a sensory bin. This is a simple rice and flower sensory bin with the puzzle pieces.
Matching Money Amount on the Coin Mat
As you do the money puzzle you can talk about what coins on each square.
You can ask how much each coin is worth.
You can ask how of there are of each coin on the square.
You could also pull out coins to use to match each square.
Using the Coin Mat as a Mat Center
You can also pull out the coin mat with the numbers and the recording sheet and use this as a learning center. It makes a quick and easy money learning center for kids.
